Antinuous

Physics

Run parameter sweeps of thousands of settings at once.

Antinuous runs parameter sweeps of thousands of settings in parallel and fits models to your data with uncertainties. Every run is code you can read and rerun, and it flags new arXiv preprints each week.

Use cases

Check a derivation against known limits

Each limit and unit check is quick, but writing out a full set is tedious.

You ask

Here is my expression for the energy of a relativistic particle in a weak field. Check its low-speed and zero-field limits and its units.

What it does

  1. Antinuous reads your derivation from an upload or a pasted expression.
  2. It installs a symbolic math package and takes each limit in its workspace.
  3. It compares each result with the known formula and cites where that formula comes from.

You get

A notebook listing each check, the code that ran it and the outcome.

Starting point
Limit
Should reduce to
Relativistic energy
Speed much less than light
mc² plus ½mv²
Planck's law
Long wavelength
Rayleigh-Jeans law
Damped oscillator
No damping
Simple harmonic motion

Examples of limits a new result should reduce to.
