Terms of service

Last updated September 15, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Antinuous website and service provided by Antinuous, Inc. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use it for an organization, you must have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

Who can use Antinuous

You must be at least 13 and meet the minimum age required in your country. If you cannot legally agree to these terms on your own, your parent or guardian must give permission and accept them for you.

Keep your account information accurate and your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account, including connected services and local agents. Tell us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

Your content and results

You retain your rights in the content you provide. As between you and Antinuous, you own the generated output to the extent ownership rights exist, and we assign to you any rights we may have in that output. Outputs may not be unique, and this does not give you rights in other people's content, cited sources, or third-party materials.

You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display your content only as needed to provide and maintain the service, carry out your instructions, keep the service secure, and comply with law. This includes checking the quality of your research and using your corrections and preferences to personalize later research in your account.

We may let our service providers do those things on our behalf. This license does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to provide your content and connect your accounts. Review the rights that apply to source material before reusing or publishing it. Antinuous retains ownership of its software, branding, and other service materials.

Research and AI limitations

Antinuous uses AI and external sources. Answers, citations, and generated results can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, even when they sound confident. Check original sources and use your judgment before relying on a result.

The service provides research assistance, not professional medical, legal, financial, or other regulated advice. Use qualified professionals for decisions that need them. Do not rely on generated results as the sole basis for decisions that could materially affect someone's health, safety, rights, or livelihood.

Research may continue after you close the browser. The agent may set up recurring updates when your request calls for keeping public research current; these run until you pause or delete them. Review the work and settings you authorize. Features for editing and undo can help correct changes, but you should keep copies of information important to you.

Reasonable use

Use the service lawfully and respect other people's privacy, intellectual property, and rights. Do not use it to facilitate serious harm, fraud, abuse, or unlawful surveillance. Do not access accounts or data without permission, introduce malicious software, or interfere with the service or its security.

Automation through supported features is welcome. Do not evade usage limits or use automation in a way that disrupts the service for others. We may apply reasonable usage limits to protect availability and manage resources.

Connected and external services

You choose which accounts and local agents to connect or authorize. External services, websites, and source materials have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability, content, or conduct.

Our handling of personal information is described in our privacy policy. Disconnecting an account stops future access through that connection, but information already saved in your research may remain until separately removed.

Changes, suspension, and leaving

You can stop using Antinuous at any time and contact us to request account closure. Export important work before leaving. Any retention of personal information is subject to our privacy policy and applicable law.

We may change or discontinue features or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these terms, protect people or the service, or comply with law. When practical and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue or export your work. You can contact us to ask us to review a suspension.

Service availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a useful, reliable service, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, error-free results, or suitability for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without additional warranties. Any warranties and consumer guarantees required by law still apply.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses that could not reasonably have been foreseen. Each party's total liability arising from these terms is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not apply to fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights or limits remedies you are entitled to under applicable law.

Governing law and disputes

California law governs these terms, without applying its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the laws where you live. Nothing in these terms requires arbitration or prevents you from bringing a claim in a court available to you under applicable law.

If a dispute comes up, you are welcome to contact us so we can try to resolve it. Doing so is not a condition of exercising your legal rights.

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes or to meet legal requirements. We will publish the updated terms with a new date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes, except where an urgent legal or security change is needed. Changes apply going forward. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you can stop using the service.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a provision does not waive it.
